Wonderful lady, gave birth to a talented wonderful son and helps others even though you would think with the life she has had she would want to forget.............. An inspiration to all of us but most importantly to those who have shared even a little piece of what you have. Thank you for letting us know we are not alone, neither are our children.
The Family Courts do not treat us DV victims fairly... in a lot of cases we lose our children and they are given to the abuser as they are far more 'eloquent' than us... a known fact.
Neither would I trust the likes of Womens aid or any other Support group as they link to SS who take pleasure in removing our children.
I have known many and I talk to many daily who suffer the silence as their children are no longer with them all because they got a slap from an animal who could not control his temper.
Putting that aside, it will take people like you with the voice you now have to make changes.
I hasten to add... any that we can get our hands on or are in 'the know' would not go to any of the Support Groups through lack of trust, Womens Aid have a duty to report all cases to SS. We have two women whose children have been abused by the other parent and made horrific disclosures but because they will not make these disclosures to the Authorities or SS then the parent stands to lose custody and this is factual.... is this fair???? We would not trust Authorities with our children anymore :(
